Remember when the demon didn't become relevant in the anime until like 50+ episodes after this point?
I've always had a thought that during the Grimiore festival Asta actually attracted Lichts grimiore. Lichts Grimiore didnt appear before Asta because he has 0 magic to make it manifest. So Lichts grimiore was with Asta but he had no way to use it. Astas never give up attitude and the fact that he literally trained everyday to his fullest potential. He didnt judge people and was all around a wonderful person to people even though they made fun of him or treated him different. He was a perfect fit for a 4 leaf if he had magic.
With the realization of not being able to do anything with 0 magic no matter how hard he trained it caused him utter despair. That despair mixed with Lichts grimiore and 0 magic made it possible for his Anti magic Devil to create the bond needed with Lichts grimiore(literal needle in a haystack). When Yuno gave him a pep talk and Asta's emotions skyrocketed, his never give up attitude gave him the power to manifest his new 5 leaf grimoire. When the sword came out of his Grimiore, Asta grabbing the hilt signed the contract and bonded the 5 leaf to him, accepting the "host" and allowing the Devil inside of him, thats when the 5 leaf solidifies itself into the Grimiore.

Now that demon just chose asta because he has no magic. To think that a demon who has anti magic, which is pretty low in the demon world, and a human, that has no magic and is the weakest, come together. I really like this idea!!

This grimoire belonged to a desperate elf leader whom his power and hatred could destroy the world. This isnt some random guy whom got powers bc of hardwork and strong will , when u know a 5th grimoire book that was originally a 4th one and that belonged to the elf leader chose asta, the guy with no magic, u realize this scene deserved more respect
