  1. Did I help you? Consider a one time contribution to support new daily content on this channel.

  2. I do not have command prompt dll there. However I do have Windows powerShell Admin at that spot, will that work?

  3. It happens mostly because you unpacked zip files with special characters on their name.

If it is happening for you with a folder and you are not able to delete it, you need to rename that with the following commands:

(in this example, we will use "Fórmula" as the folder name in which is bugged and cannot be removed)

    –> Press Enter

    cd MyPathWhichContainsTheBuggedFolderOrFile

    –> Press Enter

    dir /x

    –> Press Enter

It will appear something like that:

    30/01/2020 08:42 <DIR> FRMULA~1 Fórmula

"FRMULA~1" is how the system sees this folder, since it supports only UTF-8 characters (no accents like, á, é, í, ó, ú…).

So we now are able to rename through this new name.

    ren FRMULA~1 MyNewFolderName

    –> Press Enter

Now go back to explorer, then go to C:MyPathWhichContainsTheBuggedFolderOrFile and remove the folder that we renamed as "MyNewFolderName".

  4. The second method is to de select view hidden items or re select it than re de select it, that's how I got rid of mine
It's how you do it on a school laptop

  5. I followed all the steps, but it still says it's not Found. I renamed the file, put it in System32 and sysWOW64. What am I doing wrong?

  6. Thanks for the tutorial and a safe location to download the DLL but you forgot to mention if you need to rename the file or not since the error is asking for Mycomobject.dll and the file downloaded is lComboObject.dll as well as where to put the DLL file. You should update the description with this information or update this video.

  7. Thanks, but this is confusing. You say type regsvr32 MyComobject.dll. But the dll which can be downloaded isn't called that. It's called IMyComboobject.dll

  8. Please read the description for the .dll file. Place .dll file in System32 folder (need to have hidden files ans folders view enabled).
