3. Check the boot order/priorities in the BIOS/UEFI make sure they are set correctly.
4. If you are booting the windows media from a USB flash drive you can always try another USB port, just to make sure that is not causing the error code.

  1. If this doesn’t work, just disconnect the cables of your other hard drives you have installed from the motherboard. They’re called SATA cables

  2. when i delete the drive and make it a new drive in the setup windows doesn’t create new partitions and the problem still exists. any ideas?

  7. I'm having this issue where I can see the drive if I try to install Windows or Linux, but I can never see my HDD on the BIOS. So I can't change the boot order. And when I hit "new" it doesn't actually make any partitions, it just remains unallocated space. I'm starting to think this Drive is just DoA.

    Edit: Yeah swapped to another drive I had laying around and it was detected in Bios. Was able to install Windows on it. Gonna send it back to Seagate.
