Fix Blue Screen 0xc000000e on Windows 8/10



If you get this blue screen with error code: 0xc000000e, and this error message, “A required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed.”
Or this error message, “The application or operating system couldn’t be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.”

This could happen if Windows boot file is damaged or corrupted by various reasons, for example, unexpected system shutdown, virus, hardware failure, etc. You can try to fix this issue by follow this guide. In this video, I will show how to fix this blue screen error with Startup Repair and bootrec.exe command.
Note: You need Windows installation media (either DVD or USB) or recovery drive in order to use these methods.

  3. just ordered the dvd from Amazon but im gonna test my luck and try to download it to this usb first….im on my Windows 10 laptop trying to fix my windows 8 desktop….i miss my desktop and i honestly feel like its better than my laptop

  5. For those who saw the video and after following the steps still doesn't work:

    Maybe you try for the first time to install by yourself the windows on your PC/Laptop and is possible to make a little mistake which generate the error 0xc000000e.

    If you have SSD and HDD:

    Reinstall windows and when you reach the step when you need to create partitions follow this order:

    Select the SSD and press NEW.
    (256 GB, 512GB)

    Select the HDD and press NEW.
    (512 GB, 1T+++ )

    Select the HDD and press Format.

    Select the SSD again and press next to install windows.

    Just follow the this order.
